Taisetsu Mokko × Meijo University
Nagoyaka Pavilion

Special Cooperation

A special collaborative project was conducted with the cooperation of Asahikawa City / Higashikawa Town, also UNESCO City of Design, and the Department of Architecture in the Faculty of Science and Technology at Meijo University. Under the theme "Assembly Process of Event Support Pavilion and Creativity", two pavilions serving as information centers for the outdoor exhibition sites were designed, produced, and installed. The pavilions, designed and produced by Koizumi Makoto for Taisetsu Mokko, were modified for this exhibit, and their assembly was undertaken by students and professors from Meijo University. This initiative served as a project that re-emphasized the importance of spatial design in connecting the ‘creators’ and ‘recipients’ of art. During the preparation period, special online classes by Taisetsu Mokko’s president Hasegawa Masanobu, executive director Hasegawa Takamitsu, and designer Koizumi Makoto were held, with active discussions among the students.
