ACCESS

A collaboration between Seto-based Barrack (Kondo Kanako and Furuhata Taiki) and photographer Ano Daici, this exhibit focuses on the relationship between the Seto Electric Railway, which played a major role during the Meiji era in transporting pottery/ceramics, and the Horikawa River, where the terminal station for marine transport was located. Located at the mouth of the Horikawa River canal, on which these ceramic products were carried, and using a building that was once used as an inn at the post station Miya-shuku on the old Tokaido Road, this exhibit and café-bar welcomed Seto resident photographer Ano Daici and features works interpreting part of the history of Seto, the Horikawa River, and Miya-shuku.
