Mementos/souvenirs was the theme for the 2nd annual project CODE: SHAPING THE IDENTITY OF A UNESCO CITY OF DESIGN, which began in 2010 and was conducted within the framework of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network’s design cities. Each participating city came up with proposals for mementos or souvenirs representing what makes that city unique and special, things that visitors to each city will remember, things that one would like to take to give away as a souvenir.
